'Doing all the things': Farmington band director named first female MMEA jazz chair

Farmington High School student Ellie Colson said she wished to honor all the lives lost Feb. 14, 2018, in the Floriad school shooting but especially that of a Parkland student who played the trombone. He said those experiences and his current role as instructor for National Association of School Resource Officers have helped to define his view of school safety. Tables in the Farmington Police Department are filled with items, checks, and personal documents seized by police as part of an investigation into a series of burglaries in the community over the past several months. The tubs and containers under the table are also filled with items confiscated. One tub is full of stolen checks. Police have identified a dozen men and women connected to the crimes.
