Farmington Ambassador Program seeking 2018 candidates
The Farmington Royal Ambassador Program offers unique growth and educational experiences to young women.
The candidate program lasts approximately eight weeks during the spring with events that can easily work with a candidate's schedule. Candidates are offered personal growth opportunities, fun social activities and memories to last a lifetime. Qualified mentors will be available to help make every experience a positive one. The program focuses on improving lifelong skills such as public speaking and interviewing, volunteerism, as well as helping to improve each candidate's self-confidence and poise.
Seven candidates are selected to represent Farmington as public relations ambassadors; spreading a positive impression at festivals across the state, supporting the efforts of local nonprofits and organizations, and learning to give through service opportunities. Each ambassador is awarded with a $1,200 continuing educational scholarship.
To become a candidate for 2018 you must:
• Live within or attend a 192 Independent School District school
• Currently be in second or third grade
• Currently be in sixth, seventh or eighth grade
• Have completed your junior year of high school, be 17 years old by July 1, 2018, and not over the age of 20 years.
