The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on June 20, 2017 and took action with respect to the following matters:
Approvals/Authorizations: County Board Meeting Minutes – June 6, 2017. Public Hearing to Receive Comments on Enactment of Transportation Sales and Use and Excise Tax in Dakota County. Continue Participation in State Standard Measures Program. Amendment to Solid Waste Management Coordinating Board Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) and Termination of Agreement on January 1, 2018. Right of Way Acquisition and Authorization to Initiate Quick Take Condemnation for CP 14-28, CSAH 14 (Southview Blvd. and 3rd Ave. So.) in City of South St. Paul. Final Plats Recommended by Plat Commission. Purchase Replacement Network Equipment for County Network. Submit Letter to Metropolitan Council on Potential Regional Transit Fare Increase. Grant Agreements for State Dislocated Worker Services and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Adult Services and Dislocated Worker Services, and Execute Related Contracts. Accept Grant Funds Appropriated to Dakota County to Serve Somali Children with Autism and Execute a Grant Contract with the MN Dept. of Health and Additional Grant Funds from MN Dept. of Human Services and Execute Amendment to the Grant Contract for Respite Services for Individuals with Autism. Add 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent Limited-Term Employee in Social Services. Respond to Request for Assessment of Need/Letter of Support. Subcontracts Resulting from Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program Funding. Renew Commercial Automobile Contract with Travelers Insurance and Property Insurance Contract with Affiliated FM Insurance. Limited Use Permit to Arrow Mower for Construction and Use of a Driveway on Property Acquired for Wentworth Library in City of West St. Paul. Encroachment Agreement with Magellan Pipeline Company, L.P. for Lebanon Hills Regional Park West Trailhead Improvements. Release Appraisal of Cole Enterprise, Inc. and Ruth Cole Properties. Mutual Aid Agreements with Goodhue, Ramsey, Scott and Washington County Sheriff's Offices for Emergency Inmate Housing. Submit Capital Budget Requests to MN Management and Budget and Support for Hennepin County Medical Examiner Bonding Request. Negotiate the Acquisition of the Property for CP 97-96 MRRT – Rosemount East Segment and to Release Property Appraisal Reports. Appointments to Planning Commission and Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board. Contracts for IBM Cognos Support, Master Partnership with State of MnDOT. Bolton & Menk, Inc. for Consulting Services for CP 97-165, Dakota County Principal Arterial System Study and Pump and Meter Service, Inc. for Empire Transportation Fuel Island Canopy Project. Contract Amendments with Bolton & Menk, Inc. for Design of CP 14-28, CSAH 14 (Southview Blvd. and 3rd Ave.) in City of South St. Paul and Pinnacle Engineering for Environmental Consulting Services at Valley Ridge Redevelopment Site. JPA's with City of Apple Valley for CP 42-147, City of Eagan for CP 31-79, City of Lakeville for CP 9-54 and City of Apple Valley for North Creek Greenway – Johnny Cake Ridge Road Feasibility Study. Closed Executive Sessions: Discuss Labor Negotiations Strategy and Develop an Offer for Acquiring Property for CP 97-96 MRRT – Rosemount East in Rosemount. Release of MN River Greenway Cultural Resources Interpretive Plan for Public Review. Scheduling of County Board Workshop on Solid Waste Master Plan and Strategic Planning Workshop. Request for Approval of Galaxie Library Renovation Schematic Design. Ratifications of Grant Application for MN Youth Program, Accept MN Youth Program Funds and Execute Grant Agreement and Related Contract and of Seagate Technology Dislocated Worker Grant Agreement, Accept Grant Funds, Grant Agreement and Related Contracts. Review of Proposed TIF Plan for the Establishment of TIF District No. 2 in City of Mendota Heights. Designation of Voting for 2017 NACo Annual Conference. Acceptance of Authority and Administrative Responsibility to Implement MN Riparian Protection Law. Termination of JPA Establishing CTIB. Impose Greater MN Transportation Sales and Use Tax.
