ADV FOR BIDS CITY OF FARMINGTON

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Farmington, Minnesota, in the City Hall at 430 Third Street, until 10 A.M., C.D.S.T., Monday, February 10, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and all else necessary for the following:
Akin Park Estates East and West Rehabilitation Project
In general, Work consists of the following approximate quantities:
12,300 LF Concrete Curb and Gutter (Potentially 22,000 LF w/ Bid Alternate)
9,000 TN Bituminous Mixtures
2,200 TN Class 5 Aggregate Base
320 LF 4 Inch Draintile
Together with removals, restoration, erosion control, saw and seal,
sodding, and other related appurtenances
This project contains Alternate Bid Items. The effects of these Alternate Bid Items are outlined in Document 00200 - Instructions to Bidders Articles 14 - Basis of Bid; Comparison of Bids and Article 19- Evaluation of Bids and Award of Contract.
Bidding Documents may be purchased for a fee of $75 (for a paper copy), or a fee of $25 (for a digital copy on compact disc). Bidders may purchase either copy of the Bidding Documents from the City of Farmington, 430 Third Street, Farmington, MN 55024 by cash or with a check. Bidding Documents may be viewed at the City of Farmington as well.

Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the 3 lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the Owner.
