Authorities respond to ammonia leak in Randolph

Red Wing firefighters were on standby Wednesday morning following an anhydrous ammonia leak in Randolph.

Goodhue County sheriff's spokeswoman Kris Weiss said deputies were called at 8:45 a.m. to provide traffic assistance on 292nd Street in Randolph, a Dakota County town located west of Cannon Falls.

According to multiple reports, emergency crews were evacuating residents in the area.

Officers were still on the scene at 10 a.m., Weiss said.
