May earned medalist honors at the meet, giving him 17.5 points in the conference's individual standings.

"Tommy has all the right tools in his belt to be a great golfer, and we are just starting to see how well he is able to play," Farmington coach Jon Holmes said. "With time he will be a staple name in the Missota."

The Tigers finished sixth out of eight teams at the Missota Conference meet with a team score of 325. They were just two back of fifth-place Red Wing and five back of fourth-place Shakopee. Prior Lake fired a 308 to top runner-up Holy Angels by six strokes.

May's 73 was backed by Brandon Beers, who shot a season-best round of 79 that included a 38 on the back nine. Mitch Reed followed with an 86 and Matt Provost provided the final counting score with an 87.

Juniors Cooper Loew (88) and Mike Dalhed (95) completed the varsity lineup.

Ryan Kelly led the Farmington JV with an 80. Trevor Hockert added an 85, Tony Lalani shot an 86 and Kevin Onlund turned in an 87.

The Tigers play again tonight at Faribault Country Club. The Missota Conference Championships are Monday at Crow River Country Club.
