Boys soccer: Farmington's Agnew shuts out Northfield, Mayo

It hasn't taken Jake Agnew long to settle in at goalkeeper for the Farmington boys soccer team.

The sophomore didn't allow a goal in his varsity debut, a 90-minute, double-overtime tie with Rosemount in late August, and he hasn't given up many since. He stopped 10 shots in leading the Tigers to a 2-0 victory over Northfield in their Missota Conference opener last Thursday at Tiger Stadium and 14 saves to preserve another 0-0 overtime tie Saturday against Rochester Mayo.
