Boys track and field: FHS Tigers take second at New Prague

Former thrower Troy Hoffman emerged to win a pair of sprint events in leading the Farmington boys track team to second place at the closely-contested New Prague Triangular last Thursday.


Hoffman ran personal-record times of 11.99 and 24.05 seconds in winning the 100- and 200-meter dashes. As a team, the Tigers won seven events, set 97 personal records and scored 57 points to edge the host Trojans by half of a point. Shakopee won the meet with 72 1/2 points.
