Lakeville South won the boys portion of the meet 107-80.5 over runner-up Woodbury. Northfield scored 47 points and the Tigers 37.5

Senior Sam Hanson once again provided the Tigers' top finish, winning the high jump by clearing 6 feet, 2 inches.

Three Farmington relays earned second-place finishes: Jack Erickson, Darren Beenken, Alex Chadwick and Mackinley Bassett in the 4x100, Mason Auge, CJ Record, Tyler Grubb and Hanson in the 4x200 and Tyler Lerbakken, Tayler Wolt, Trevor Breezley and Eric Stoeckman in the 4x800. Stoeckman, Tanner Grubb, Reid Taubenheim and Jeff Hansen also set the school record in the freshman 4x400.

Farmington got third-place finishes from John Schimmel in the shot put, Zach Wyatt in the triple jump, Lerbakken in the open 800 and Jake Rudeen in the 3,200. Rudeen, Carl Elmer and Chad Retterath also all broke 5 minutes in the 1,600.

"It was a beautiful day for a track meet and we had many good performances because of it," Farmington coach Brian Helmstetter said. "We don't have many top times yet, but as a group we are better in many areas than we have been the past few years."

The Tigers, who have had their last two meets cancelled due to inclement weather, compete again next Tuesday at the Eagan Invite.
