The Town Board of the Town of Castle Rock does ordain:

WHEREAS, the Town of Castle Rock has set the following fees regarding building permits:

1997 UBC Table 1-A shall be used to calculate building permit fees not based upon a flat fee.

Filing Fee - add to all Building Permits- $25.00 - Filing Fee is due when permit is issued.

Down-payments/ fees due at time of application.

House Site Plan $600.00 down payment

Garage $ 200.00 down payment

Agricultural Building $100.00 fee up to $20,000,

plus $6.00 per $1000.00 thereafter

Addition to Agricultural Building $100.00 fee up to $20,000,

plus $6.00 per $1000.00 thereafter

Grain Bins/ Storage Bins $100.00 flat rate plus surtax, require two inspections

Pole Barn/ Garage $200.00 down payment

Addition to any other Building $200.00 down payment

Commercial Building $600.00 down payment

House Moving Fee $200.00 conditional use hearing fee,

plus $75.00 for publishing notice,

(or $75.00 only, for publishing, if meeting is held on

regular meeting night Plus a permit for the value of

the work to be done.

House Removal Fee An escrow of $3.00 per square foot of the total square

footage of the house to guarantee removal of the

existing house after construction of new dwelling.

Mechanical Fireplace/ Gas Insert $100.00 fee

Swimming pools $75.00 down payment

(more than 24" deep or 5000 gal.)

Plumbing Permit $75.00 fee

HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) $75.00 fee

Demolition permit- Residential $150.00 fee- requires two inspection

(progress & final)

Demolition permit- Commercial Valuation based on the value of the work to be

performed with a minimum fee of $150.00

Replacement- - Siding $75.00 fee

- Roofing $75.00 fee

- Windows Fee based on evaluation

*If an electrical permit is needed, it must be obtained from the State of Minnesota

before any plan review is done.

The Clerk shall not be authorized to refund any fee paid unless the original payee files a written request for refund not later than 180 days after the date of the fee payment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Castle Rock hereby adopts this Ordinance regarding Guidelines for Permit Fees in Castle Rock Township and this ordinance shall take effect upon its adoption and publication according to law.

Adopted this 8th day of July 2008 by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Castle Rock.
