Cedar Bluff, stealth tower on Oct. 20 Afton City Council agenda
The Afton City Council will be discussing several big issues during the Tuesday, Oct. 20 meeting. These issues include:
Further discussions regarding the proposed Cedar Bluff Development. Discussions have been ongoing since February of last year, in which time developer Len Pratt has been significant changes and developments to the proposed clustered housing development. The council decision has been postponed on numerous occasions due to ongoing discussions with the Minnesota Land Trust regarding the proposed conservation easement. The Land Trust is looking for further postponement as to continue discussion and resolve any issues.
The council will either approve or deny the final review of the public safety radio communications tower conditional use permit. The "stealth tower" which it is more commonly known was approved by the city in May of last year and tower was erected last winter. City staff was notified of the tower's completion earlier this year.
The city council will review a draft ordinance addressing the animal control issues that several residents have raised regarding the treatment of stray or loose animals.
