Guitar Hero at the library

The Dakota County Farmington Library invites teens to play Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution on the big screen from 3 to 5 p.m. March 20

March 21

Breakfast with the bunnies

Rambling River Center will host Breakfast with the Bunnies from 9 to 10:30 a.m. March 21. Kids can listen to bunny stories, make a craft, learn the bunny hop and interact with rabbits. Breakfast will include pastry, fruit, juice and coffee.

Steak fry

There will be a steak fry fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. March 21 at the Farmington VFW. The event will raise money for Boy Scout Troop 116. Genealogy class

The Dakota City Genealogy Class will meet at 1 p.m. March 21 at Ahlberg Hall on the Dakota County Fairgrounds. Anyone interested in history is invited to attend.

Lacrosse fundraiser

The Farmington Youth Lacrosse Association will hold a bingo fundraiser from 2 to 4:30 p.m. March 21 at the Farmington Eagles Club. Money raised at the event will pay for equipment, coaches' bags, first aid kits, lacrosse balls, field lining and referee costs.

Waggin' Tales

Children can practice their reading skills by reading to therapy dogs from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Farmington Library. Research has shown that children improve their reading confidence and fluency when reading in this relaxed environment.

Book club meeting

The Farmington Friends of the Library book club meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Farmington library.

Diabetes support group

A diabetes support group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 26 at Allina Medical Clinic in Farmington. The class meets the last Thursday of every month. The topic for March is cardio diagnostics/exams.

Baby storytime

Children up to 24 months, their caregivers and siblings are invited to baby storytime from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. It includes stories, songs, bounces and playtime.

Spaghetti dinner

Dakota City Heritage Village will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. March 29 at the Farmington American Legion club on Highway 3. Money raised at the dinner will pay for events at the 1900-era village on the Dakota County Fairgrounds.

Family storytime

The Farmington Public Library invites children of all ages to family storytime from 10:30 to 11 a.m. April 3. Storytime normally includes stories, finger plays and a movie or craft.

Easter egg hunt

Trinity Care Center will hold an Easter egg hunt at 1:30 p.m. April 4. Participants will also have a chance to decorate their own cupcake and dye Easter eggs.

FHS 1972 reunion

Farmington High School graduates from the class of 1972 are invited to the Farmington Eagles April 4 to get together and reconnect with old classmates, including exchange student Annelise. There will be a social hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner at 6:30.

Easter carnival

The Castle Rock, Empire, Eureka and Farmington Area Enhancement Group will hold its annual Easter carnival from 10 a.m. to noon April 11 in the community education wing of Meadowview Elementary School. Kids can get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

April 25

Mayoral ball

The Castle Rock, Empire, Eureka and Farmington Area Enhancement Group will present the mayoral Black and White Ball from 8 p.m. to midnight April 25 at the Grand Hall ballroom. The Rockin' Hollywoods will perform.
