Diabetes support group

A diabetes support group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 26 at Allina Medical Clinic in Farmington. The class meets the last Thursday of every month. The topic for March is cardio diagnostics/exams.

March 27

Christian Life auction

Christian Life School will hold its annual auction March 27 at the school. Doors open at 5:30 with a silent auction beginning at 6 and a live auction afterward. Items up for sale include gift baskets, certificates from local businesses, tickets for the Minnesota Wild and Children's Theatre and American Girl doll products.

Baby storytime

Children up to 24 months, their caregivers and siblings are invited to baby storytime from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. It includes stories, songs, bounces and playtime.

Garage sale

Faith United Methodist Church will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 28 to support the church's growing youth program.

March 29

Spaghetti dinner

Dakota City Heritage Village will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. March 29 at the Farmington American Legion club on Highway 3. Money raised at the dinner will pay for events at the 1900-era village on the Dakota County Fairgrounds.

KC breakfast

The Farmington/ Hampton Knights of Columbus will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon March 29 in the social hall at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Free-will donations will benefit the seminarians at St. John Vianny Seminary.

April 2

Cemetery association

The Castle Rock Valley Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. April 2 at the Castle Rock Town Hall. Business reports and election of trustees are on the agenda. All lot owners and friends are invited to attend.

April 3

Northwestern College band

The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 3 at Christian Life Church. The band will perform a repertoire of suite music including Robert Russell Bennett's Suite of Old American Dances and "Jupiter" from Gustav Holst's Planets suite.

The Farmington Public Library invites children of all ages to family storytime from 10:30 to 11 a.m. April 3. Storytime normally includes stories, finger plays and a movie or craft.

Easter egg hunt

Trinity Care Center will hold an Easter egg hunt at 1:30 p.m. April 4. Participants will also have a chance to decorate their own cupcake and dye Easter eggs.

FHS 1972 reunion

Farmington High School graduates from the class of 1972 are invited to the Farmington Eagles April 4 to get together and reconnect with old classmates including exchange student Annelise. There will be a social hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner at 6:30.

Stations of the Cross

Faith United Methodist Church will present a live-action Stations of the Cross at 6:30 p.m. Good Friday, April 10. The displays will resemble living paintings.

Movies for kids

The Farmington Public Library invites children of all ages to movies for kids from 10:30 to 11 a.m. April 10. The April 10 movie is Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

Easter carnival

The Castle Rock, Empire, Eureka and Farmington Area Enhancement Group will hold its annual Easter carnival from 10 a.m. to noon April 11 in the community education wing of Meadowview Elementary School. Kids can get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

April 18

Swedish folk music

The Dakota County Library will present Flickorna Fem -- The Five Girls -- at 2 p.m. April 18. The group will perform traditional Swedish folk music. The performance is part of the library's annual Minnesota Mosaic cultural arts series. The performances is free.

Waggin' Tales

Kids can practice their reading skills by reading to therapy dogs from 10:30 a.m. to noon April 18 at the Farmington Public Library.

Mayoral ball

The Castle Rock, Empire, Eureka and Farmington Area Enhancement Group will present the mayoral Black and White Ball from 8 p.m. to midnight April 25 at the Grand Hall ballroom. The Rockin' Hollywoods will perform.
