Family storytime

The Farmington Public Library invites children of all ages to family storytime March 6. Storytimes generally include stories, finger plays, a movie and a craft.

Fish fry

St. Michael's Catholic Church in Farmington will hold its annual fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. March 6. The church is located at 22120 Denmark Ave.

March 7

Spaghetti dinner

A spaghetti dinner fund-raiser for the Warrior to Citizen Campaign will be held March 7, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Farmington American Legion. All proceeds will be used to help the community's military families.

March 8

Pancake breakfast

St. Mathias Parish of Hampton will serve a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. March 8 in the church basement. The event is sponsored by the Vermillion Knights of Columbus Council #5199 with the help of St. Mathias School and Faith Formation families. Proceeds will go to St. Mathias religious education programs.

Open house

St. Mathias Catholic School will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 8 at the school. All are welcome to take a tour. St. Mathias offers pre-school, full-day kindergarten, first through fifth grade and daycare.

Wii at the library

The Dakota County Farmington Library invites teens to visit from 3 to 5 p.m. March 9 to play Wii games on the big screen in the meeting room.

March 13

Birds of the forest

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Minnesota Audobon Society experts will present "Game and Non-game Birds of the Forest" and "Backyard Bird Feeding" March 13 at the Dakota County Extension and Conservation Center in Farmington. Registration for the free programs starts at 1:30 p.m. The program starts at 2 p.m.

March 14

Towns Edge Salon fundraiser

Towns Edge Salon and Barber will hold a fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 14. A portion of the day's proceeds will go to Farmington Lutheran Church youth going to a national youth gathering in New Orleans. A demonstrator for Tastefully Simple will demonstrate and sell her goods that day as will a local maker of beaded bracelets.

March 21

Lacrosse fundraiser

The Farmington Youth Lacrosse Association will hold a bingo fundraiser from 2 to 4:30 p.m. March 21 at the Farmington Eagles Club. Money raised at the event will pay for equipment, coaches' bags, first aid kits, lacrosse balls, field lining and referee costs.

Waggin' Tales

Children can practice their reading skills by reading to therapy dogs from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Farmington Library. Research has shown that children improve their reading confidence and fluency when reading in this relaxed environment.

Book club meeting

The Farmington Friends of the Library book club meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Farmington library.

The book for March 24 is People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.

March 27

Baby storytime

Children up to 24 months, their caregivers and siblings are invited to baby storytime from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. It includes stories, songs, bounces and playtime.

April 4

FHS 1972 reunion

Farmington High School graduates from the class of 1972 are invited to the Farmington Eagles April 4 to get together and reconnect with old classmates, including exchange student Annelise. There will be a social hour from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner at 6:30.
