Wine tasting

Farmington Liquors and the Dakota Valley Arts Council will hold their third annual Fall Art Fair and wine tasting from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 18 in Rambling River park.

The wine tasting will be held in the pavilion and the art fair along the sidewalk. Everyone is invited to browse and enjoy the talent displayed by local artists. For more information call the liquor store at 651-463-8601 or 651-463-3005.

Genealogy program

The Dakota County Historical Society will host a program on publishing your family history at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Historical Society offices, 130 Third Ave. in South St. Paul. The meeting is free and open to the public. Call DCGS president Dick Thill at 651-452-5926 for more information.

Steak fry

There will be a steak fry from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Farmington VFW to benefit Boy Scout Troop #116.

September 20-21

St. Michael's Fall Festival

St. Michael's Catholic Church will hold its annual fall festival Sept. 20 and 21. This year's event will feature a performance by Peder Eide, a Farmington resident and a national recording artist who has put out several CDs. It is the first contemporary Christian concert held at St. Michael's. The event will also feature pig roast, talent show, hula lessons, a motorcycle run, food stands and craft and vendor tents. MOMS Club open house

Farmington MOMS club will hold its annual open house Sept. 23. There will be bounce houses, activities and snacks for kids. Farmington moms and kids are welcome. Call 952-953-7077 for more information.

Book club meeting

The Farmington Friends of the Library book club meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at the Farmington Library. For Sept. 23 the book is Love Medicine by Louise Erdrich.

MOMS Club meeting

Farmington MOMS Club will hold its monthly all-member meeting at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 24 at St. Michael's Church. Farmington MOMS Club is a non-profit organization providing support for stay-at-home and part-time working moms.

Diabetes support group

The Farmington Diabetes Support group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Allina Medical Clinic in Farmington, 3500 213th St. W. Meetings are run by the group participants. All are welcome to attend. The Sept. 25 meeting will be a group discussion.

Class of '58 gathering

The Farmington High School class of 1958 will hold an informal get-together at 6 p.m. at the Farmington American Legion.

September 27

Trinity harvest party

Trinity Care Center will hold its second annual harvest party from 2:30 to 7 p.m. at the care center.

Proceeds will go toward a new patio area with a wheelchair accessible door.

The Farmington High School class of 1958 will hold a reunion at the Farmington Eagles Club.

October 4

Benefit garage sale

There will be a fund-raiser garage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 to raise money to send four kids with Muscular Dystrophy to camp next summer. The sale will take place on the 190th Street cul-de-sac off of Denmark Avenue and 193rd Street in Farmington. There will be games for kids, food and drink.

October 5

VFW membership dinner

The Farmington VFW and Ladies Auxiliary will hold their annual membership dinner Oct. 5. Social hour is from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Dinner is at 5 p.m. and the program is at 6 p.m. For reservations call Ron or Bev Ersfeld at 651-463-3870 or the club at 651-460-6888.
