Famrington ISD 192 science students succeed
Building level winners from all five elementary schools in the Farmington district advanced to regional science fair competition where they collected ribbons and awards for their efforts.
With displays on topics such as "What Fruits and Vegetables Work Best as a Battery," and "Which Brand of Popcorn Pops the Most Kernels," students took to the road attending the Southwest/ South Central Minnesota Regional Science and Engineering Fair held at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Four Farmington entries took first place: Akin Road Elementary student Lauren Weniger, the Farmington Elementary pair of Noah Woldt and Quincy Mabin North Trail Elementary student Unaysah Azam and the NTES team of Cara Cywinski and Maddie Jones.
