The Storm outscored the Tigers 45-16 in the second half as they won for the 12th time in 15 games.

"We came out aggressive in the first half, keeping within seven. We came out aggressive and handled their pressure well," Farmington coach Sondra Chadwick said. "Chanhassen's depth and athleticism began to wear us down in the second half. We did not shoot well in that second half, and we got back into a bad habit of not moving our feet defensively and we committed too many fouls."

Sofia Chadwick scored 13 points and was the only player in double figures for the Tigers, who lost their 14th straight. Sydney Speer added eight points and Alicia Hett grabbed five rebounds and handed out four assists.

Lone senior Callie Halterman celebrated Senior Night with four points.

The Tigers struggled defensively early on last Tuesday at Northfield and fell behind by as many as 19 points in an eventual 48-41 setback.

"I was disappointed in our lack of intensity to start the game -- a lot of fouling and giving up offensive boards to their much taller posts," Chadwick said. "In the second half we made some adjustments, picked up our defensive intensity and it resulted in a big run for the girls."

Morgan Mach led the second-half charge with a season-high eight points off the bench. Chadwick finished with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists and Hett contributed five points, seven rebounds and five assists.

The Tigers (2-24) opened up Section 1AAAA tournament play Wednesday night on the road at No. 9-ranked Lakeville North. Results can be found online at farmingtonindependent.com.
