The Tigers did just that, scoring a pair of one-goal victories over Rochester John Marshall and Owatonna and blowing out Rosemount and Rochester Mayo over the last two weeks before closing out the regular season with a 10-9 triumph on the road at Hill-Murray last Thursday.

"It was a great finish to an up and down season, or should I say a down and up season," Farmington coach Dan Pickens said. "We were able to find a way to win this last game just like we have been doing the second half of the season."

The Tigers once again overcame a slow start, outscoring Hill-Murray 6-3 in the second half to erase a two-goal halftime deficit. The Pioneers scored to tie the game with one minute left, but Farmington won the ensuing draw and Shelby Klotz scored the game-winner, her team-high fourth goal of the contest, with 13.7 seconds left.

Rachael Welzin backed Klotz with three goals and an assist. Brooke Genzler, Jess Herrera and Delaney Johnson each added goals and Michaela Tonsager and Lindsay Benson had assists.

Goaltender Maddie Kohlbeck saved 11 of 20 shots.
