Girls soccer: Late score lifts South, 1-0

Another well-played game against a South Suburban Conference opponent ended in defeat for the Farmington girls soccer team Saturday.

The Tigers, who entered at 5-3 with all three losses coming at the hands of South Suburban schools, played even with Lakeville South for nearly 77 minutes before the Cougars booted a 20-yard free kick past goalkeeper Taylor Meyer to earn a 1-0 victory at Tiger Stadium.
