Girls soccer: Panthers once again prevail over Tigers

The ninth-ranked Panthers took the lead on a penalty kick midway through the first half and advanced to their third straight state tournament with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers last Tuesday in Lakeville.

It remained a one-goal game until North added a second score with six minutes to go. Farmington keeper Ashley Becker finished with 13 saves.

The Panthers have now outscored their nine opponents a combined 33-0 in the last three Section 1AA tournaments.

The Tigers finished with a record of 10-5-4 and placed third in the Missota Conference.
