Girls Tennis: Lindstrom, Rudorfer pick up doubles win
The No. 1 doubles team of seniors Meghan Lindstrom and Maggie Rudorfer kept the Farmington girls tennis team from getting blanked last Thursday against Northfield.
Lindstrom and Rudorfer recovered from a second-set loss to win 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 as the Tigers fell to the Raiders, 6-1.
"This was an exciting match with us winning all the close games in the first and third sets and Northfield winning the tight ones in the second," Farmington coach Jack Olwell said. "Maggie was dominating with a very strong ground game. Meghan saved the day with a lunging put-away volley late in the final game. The Tigers' play was clutch at the end in a well-played match."
