Girls tennis: Tigers fall 7-0 in Section 1AA tournament

Third-seeded Owatonna knocked No. 6 Farmington out of the Section 1AA individual tournament with a 7-0 sweep last Tuesday in Owatonna.

The Tigers forced a third set in only one of the seven matches. At No. 1 doubles, Beth and Lindsey Fairchild overcame a 0-6 loss in the opening set with a 6-3 second set before falling 2-10 in a super tiebreaker.

The team finished with an 11-7 dual record this season. The Section 1AA individual tourney begins this week.
