Terra Klima was the team's highest finisher with her third-place score of 9.275 in the bars. Jade Alm added a breakout performance in the balance beam, where she was fourth with a score of 9.075, and Haley Luhman's sixth-place score of 9.2 in the vault highlighted her seventh-place all-around performance.

As a team the Tigers weren't quite on top of their game. Some falls lowered their score to 138.75, just off the pace of second-place New Prague (141.6) and third-place Prior Lake (140.8). Northfield won the meet with a 145.925.

"This really wasn't our meet, but we did have a couple great individual improvements," Farmington coach Lynn Bauman said. "So now it's time to cram in some productive practice for Friday's sections in Owatonna."

Led by Luhman's 11th-place all-around, the Tigers placed sixth at last year's section meet with a school-record team score of 139.275.
