MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT NO. 192 HELD ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2008, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE LITTLE THEATER AT FARMINGTON HIGH SCHOOL, 800 DENMARK AVENUE, FARMINGTON, MINNESOTA
The open forum was held at 6:15 p.m. and there were no public comments. Chair McKnight called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Members present were: Donnelly, McKnight, Manthey, Heman, Weyandt, Kampf and Superintendent Meeks. Other staff and community members were also present.
Superintendent Meeks acknowledged the district's good news. Board members shared their remarks.
The minutes of the regular meeting on 11/24, the special meeting on 12/2 and the Truth-In-Taxation Hearing on 12/2 were approved as presented.
The following consent items were approved as presented: Certified Retirements, Non-Certified Employments, Non-Certified Change in Status, Non-Certified Resignations, Non-Certified Terminations, Extra-Curricular Employments, Gifts and Donations, ISD #917 Minutes, and extended field trips.
Recommended Actions approved: Approval of Superintendent's Contract, Approval of Diversity Training Contract, 2008-2009 Budget Revision, 2009-2010 Budget Assumptions, Authorization of School District Levy for 2008, Payable 2009, and New High School Change Orders.
Reports and communications received: Communications Audit and Board Survey Report, Infinite Campus/Parent Portal update, and Elementary Report Card Update.
Policies presented for review: Policy #GDBDB - Child Care Leave and Maternity Leave, Policy # BH - Protection and Privacy of Pupil Records and Policy # GCP - Staff Resignation.
Policies adopted: #BBJAA - School Board Meeting Agenda, and delete Policy #GCBA - Lane Change Credits - Certified Staff.
