Larson returns as mayor, Donnelly and Bonar win council seats

Larson won the mayoral race with 5,351 votes, 57.2 percent of all votes cast. He beat David Pritzlaff, a former council member who was last on the board in 2008, and challenger Jerry Wear.

Prizlaff received 3,219 votes and Wear 732. There were 53 write-in votes.

This will be Larson's second term as mayor.

Donnelly, the only incumbent in the council race, received 5,928 votes to finish well ahead of Bonar, who received 4,181. Kirk Zeaman received 3,447 votes to finish third. There were 83 write-in votes.

County commissioner race

In the race to fill the vacant Dakota County Commission seat for District 1, Mike Slavik had the lead with 15,474 votes, compared to Christy Jo Fogarty, a Farmington City Council member, who had received 11,200 as of 12:46 a.m. Wednesday.

In Farmington's neighboring townships, Forgarty received 413 votes compared to Slavik's 314 from Eureka Township. Slavik slipped by Fogarty in Castle Rock, though, with his 343 votes compared to her 333.
