To the editor,
While it is good to see that Farmington is concerned about traffic safety around town, I wonder if/when they will have the same concern for Akin Road Residents. Starting with the Police driving 80 miles per hour without lights and sirens and ignoring the double yellow line.
Or maybe educate drivers that it is illegal to pass on the shoulder and that a right turn only lane is not a bypass Lane. I am tired of worrying about being rear-ended every time I turn into our driveway.
Our son Matthew was killed on Akin Road 20 years ago and it is considerably more dangerous now.
