To the editor,

It's time to hit the brakes on this increasingly excessive tax and spend policy in our state government. Citizens have been hit hard for several years by higher gas prices, higher schooling expense, insurance costs and retail prices all on very low or no pay increases. Seniors and young families are struggling to get by with less. But now, we're all going to pay out even more. Who is going to fund this greed if we're at the tipping point where businesses and people leave our state for lower taxed states? This does not create a prosperous Minnesota, but suppresses growth and throws on a wet blanket that smothers our future.

Taxes should be lowered, not raised. Let's help get the capable poor off the easy money welfare programs and get them back to work again. This puts taxpayers' money back into their pockets to spend, save, or give more to the charities of their choice.

We the people need our eroded freedom back. Our State Government must be frugal and responsible with our earnings to help make it healthy again. We need individuals of fiscal and moral integrity rooted in a firm foundation to be elected in 2014 that will not disappoint us, protect our Constitution, greatly cut waste and articulate this into service at all levels of government.
