Lois Mae Sivertson Ozmun, 65

Lois Mae Sivertson Ozmun was born Dec. 10, 1947, in Ada, Minn., to Sigurd and Anne (Klevgaard) Sivertson and grew up in rural Ulen, Minn. Lois married Eugene Darell Ozmun on Dec. 12, 1968, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Northfield. After marriage they made their home in the Northfield area and amongst other jobs, Lois worked for a time at the Castle Gardens Supper Club, and the Coast to Coast in Northfield. In 1986, they moved to Farmington, and over the years Lois sold life insurance and securities, had a wall paper hanging business, and helped families with estate sales. In 2001, Gene and Lois moved to their beautiful lake home on Burlingame Lake near Danbury, Wis.

Lois was loved for her open and generous spirit and was the kind of person that would do anything for anyone. She loved music, reading, spending time with her grandkids, and praising God at all times. She is a former member of Minnesota Valley Free Lutheran Church in Lakeville where she established a Wednesday night youth program called WINGS.

Lois was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Gene; 2 daughters: Linda Ozmun Schlenker-Russ and husband Jason of Harris, Lynette Ozmun Staie and husband Kent of Alexandria; 3 grandchildren: Noah, Autumn, and Makira; and nine siblings.

She was preceded in death by her son Eugene Martin Ozmun; and her parents.

Lois passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Sunday evening, Dec. 1, at the Frederic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Frederic, Wis., at the age of 65.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Northfield. Interment will be in Red Rose Cemetery, Waterford Township.
