New Farmington sledding hill is in the works

Kids are going to have to wait one more year before they’re able to use a hill for sledding at the new Hillview Park in Farmington.

But next year, they’ll have plenty of opportunity to go sledding.

On Monday, the Farmington City Council approved a plan to construct the new sledding hill in 2014. Not that the hill needs to be constructed, but trees, bushes and underbrush have to be cleared before it is safe for sledders.

Michelle Leonard joined the Woodbury Bulletin staff in November, 2014, after 14 years covering news for the Bulletin's sister publication, the Farmington Rosemount Independent Town Pages.  Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications: News-Editorial from Mankato State University in 1991.
