North Trail Elementary School is collecting gently used winter coats for children of all sizes for the Salvation Army's Coats for Kids program. Coats, snow pants, hats, gloves, mittens and boots will be accepted at the school through Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Donations should be placed in a barrel that has been set up near the main entrance of the school.

Families who may need assistance through the Coats for Kids program are invited to attend the coat distribution event scheduled for Thursday,?Oct, 25, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Easter Lutheran Church, located at 4545 Pilot Knob Rd., in Eagan. The adult picking up the coat must bring picture ID, a current piece of mail and a form of ID for each child.

For more information on the distribution event, contact the Salvation Army by calling, 952-898-2736. Coats will be distributed based on availability.
