Obarski hired as new FHS soccer coach

Former Apple Valley soccer standout and North Dakota State football kicker Jason Obarski was named new head coach of the Farmington boys soccer team last Thursday.

Obarski takes over the program from Julian Buss, who recently stepped down after coaching the Tigers for five seasons.

Obarski, currently the athletic director at Prairie Seeds Academy in Brooklyn Center, has coached soccer at several levels. He has guided youth soccer clubs, the South Metro Football Club, and coached a club team at the University of Minnesota.

Obarski’s father, Mark Obarski, is the head girls soccer coach at Eagan High School.
