On Sept. 20 and 21 the Rotary Club of Farmington threw a big party called Ramble Jam and thousands came for two days of country music and fun.
Pulling the event off was a big job, especially for a club with just 24 members, but the event was a hit. Fans had a good time, and local businesses reported a big boost in business.
Farmington Rotary could not have made it all work without the help of our sponsors and our volunteers. They provided the financial backing and the manpower to make the whole event work. We thank them all for their contributions.
Farmington American Legion
The next meetings of the Farmington American Legion Clifford Larson Post 189 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 189 will be held Monday, Oct. 21, at the Farmington VFW Club. Members are encouraged to attend.
The Farmington American Legion Auxiliary Unit 189 is planning to hold a soup luncheon fund-raiser on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Members are asked to contribute a pot of soup or bars for dessert. We are also looking for volunteers to assist on that day. Please mark you calendars now, as this is our first fundraiser since moving from our old post home and we are hoping to make it a big success.
All members of the American Legion family should have received their membership renewal information by now. Please consider renewing your memberships for another year. We appreciate your commitment!
If you need information on how to become a member of the American Legion family, please call 651-238-5614, and we can direct you to the appropriate membership chairmen.
