Attendance was down a little bit at this year’s Farmington Community Expo, but the event still drew a pretty good crowd.

Community Expo organizer Barb Pierce is happy with the past weekend’s event. Around 2,300 people stopped by the 120 booths set up in the Farmington High School commons, she said. That’s down between 200 and 400 visitors from the past, but Pierce still likes the turnout.

“Our numbers were down a little bit. That’s probably from the bitter wind and cold, but we had 120 vendors there, and we had a lot of people having fun,” she said.

Some of the highlights included performances by Just for Kix and Synergy Dance Studio, she said. The cast from the Farmington High School One Act Play performed, as did several members of the FHS speech team.

Even with the lower turnout, Pierce thinks those who came out still had a good time and learned a little bit about their community.

“We did have a successful Expo. It was a fun day for everyone,” she said.
