Robert Hugh Morrison was born June 13, 1938, in Penn Yan, New York, to Hugh M. and Mary M. (Madison) Morrison. He was raised in Farmington and as a teenager moved with his mother to Port Orford, Ore. He graduated from Port Orford High School in 1957 and returned to Farmington. He attended Mankato State College and after his education, operated his own trucking company. He founded the Semi Truck Drivers Instruction Program at Dakota County VoTech and remained there until his retirement. He married Roxanne Weigler on January 15, 2000, and after marriage they made their home in Northfield.
Bob was a kind man with a great sense of humor and the patience of a saint. He enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, and NASCAR. Bob was a wonderful husband and father and he will be missed dearly by all of us.
Survivors include his wife, Roxanne; six children: Kimberly Cowan, Kevin (Karen) Dickinson, and Mary Peterson all of Maple Grove, Joseph Weigler, Holly Morrison, Kristina (Jimmy) Hatcher, all of Northfield; three grandchildren: Tiffany, Brad, and Haley; three nieces and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Joan Rose and Sandy Morrison.
Bob passed away at home with his wife and family by his side, on Friday morning, May 15, 2009, at the age of 70.
At Bob's request, services will be private for the family. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville, Minn.
