Roberta (Bobbi) was born on Dec. 24, 1938, in Beatrice, Neb., the oldest of eight children born to Richard and Rose Wertin Beyer.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mark Theodore Bany; her children, Ann (Scott) Helgerson, Jodi (Paul) Wenn, and James (Victoria) Bany; five grandchildren, Frank James Wenn, Gabriella Rose Wenn, Ingrid Rose Helgerson, Justin Daniel Bany, and Preslee Rose Bany; her mother, Rose Wertin Beyer; two sisters, Rita (Don) Corrigan and Rose (Robert) Turek; four brothers, Richard (Mary Rita) Beyer, Ronald (Kathy) Beyer, Roger (Diane) Beyer, and Rex Beyer (Nick Meyer); many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Bobbi worked as a human resources director for 20 years and had a great passion for volunteer work. Bobbi loved gardening and flowers. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed sewing and made most of her childrens' clothing when they were young as well as a treasured baptismal gown. Bobbi and Mark and their family loved to travel. In earlier years they did a lot of camping and they loved the North Shore and northern Minnesota. After Mark started working for the airline, they took many trips to California, Hawaii and Europe. They also recently had a wonderful trip to Disneyland with their children and grandchildren.

Bobbi will be remembered for her caring personality and for her charm and laughter. Bobbi left a loving legacy for her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Bobbi was a dedicated mother and grandmother and was especially proud of her "talented, smart and amazing grandchildren" and will be greatly missed by us all.

Bobbi has been cremated and her ashes will be scattered. Memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association.
