Snow, ice could make Monday commute difficult
A little extra caution might be warranted on the Monday morning commute.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a wintry weather advisory for Sunday night and Monday because of a combination of freezing rain and snow.
The advisory includes Dakota County.
According to the NOAA report, Sunday's freezing drizzle will transition to snow overnight and Monday morning in west central Minnesota and spreading into east central Minnesota, including Dakota County, likely causing challenging conditions for the morning commute across the Twin Cities.
The NOAA report forecasts one to two inches of snow by noon across the Twin Cities.
