Softball: Tigers sweep section foes Century and Owatonna

Farmington's softball team likely improved its position in the Section 1AAA tournament seeding with a pair of wins over section opponents last week.

The Tigers, who open section play next week at Todd Park in Austin, improved to 10-6 overall by sweeping Owatonna and Rochester Century, 2-0 and 7-1, Friday night in Owatonna.

"I think the team established itself as one of the top teams in Section 1," first-year Farmington coach Rob Laden said after the doubleheader.
