Tiger tennis ends 15-year drought vs. Red Wing

A busy week was full of ups and downs for the Farmington girls tennis team.

The Tigers started their hectic slate last Tuesday by defeating Red Wing for the first time since 1997. Second-set rallies in the top three singles matches helped secure a 4-3 victory at Boeckman Middle School.

Megan Stivers won 6-2, 7-6 (2) at No. 1 singles, Ryan Jara held on 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 and Callie Olmscheid improved to 10-1 with a 6-3, 7-6 (3) triumph at No. 3.
