The Farmington girls hockey team had the defending Class 1A State runners-up on the ropes late in Tuesday night's season opener.

Breck, 25-4-1 a year ago, scored three goals in a four-minute span late in the third period to rally for a 5-4 victory over the Tigers.


Senior Krystal Baumann scored all four goals for the Tigers, now 0-1. Senior Hannah Alexander assisted on the first three before Baumann's power play goal made it 4-2 midway through the third.

Jessica Erchul finished with 33 saves.
