Travis Haan, 24
Travis Haan, age 24, of Northfield, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Church of St. Dominic's in Northfield with Father Dennis Evenson as celebrant.
Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Northfield. Visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 30 at the Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield.
Travis Joseph Haan was born Nov. 28, 1984 in Northfield, son of Francis and Debra (Gillispie) Haan. He was raised in Northfield and was a member of the Church of St. Dominic where he was baptized and confirmed. He attended school in Northfield graduating in 2003 and enjoyed snowboarding, riding his dirt bike, hunting, and fishing.
Following school Travis began working in construction with his father for three years, then one year with Strese Tree Moving in 2007, and his current position with Asplundh Tree Service trimming along power lines for the past year. He also helped his parents in the maintenance of the Viking Terrace Mobile Park. In his free time he loved the outdoors participating in hunting, fishing, boating, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. Many fishing trips were with his dad, brother, uncles and cousins with destinations in northern Minnesota and Canada.
Travis is survived by his parents, Fran and Deb Haan of Northfield; brother Tony of Northfield; grandparents Russell and Bonnie Gillispie of Northfield, Donald and Mary Haan of Farmington; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral arrangements were completed by the Bierman Funeral Home of Northfield.
