High winds Wednesday claimed at least one casualty in Farmington. The spire at the top of downtown's Exchange Bank building had to be removed Wednesday afternoon after it started to lean at an alarming angle. That left one worker with the frightening job of climbing onto the building's roof in winds of around 30 miles per hour. The spire was removed without incident.
