Werner claims top spot again, Dalhed steps into second for Tigers

Farmington's boys golf team finished second at Friday's triangular at Valleywood Golf Course in Apple Valley.

Host Eastview won the meet with a team score of 312. The Tigers were second at 338, six strokes ahead of third-place Holy Angels.

Senior Greg Werner once again led the way, firing an 18-hole score of 76. Sophomore teammate Mike Dalhed emerged to provide the team's No. 2 score and finish 10 strokes back of Werner with an 86.

Other counting scores were once again supplied by freshman Victor Simones and junior Brady Akin. Simones shot an 87 and Akin was two strokes back with an 89.

Non-counting golfers were Brandon Beers, who shot a 91, and Cooper Loew, who finished with a score of 102.

The Tigers compete again tomorrow when they travel to Stonebrooke Golf Club for a triangular against Rosemount and Shakopee.
