Haunted garage

Farmington’s annual haunted garage will return from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 31. The garage is located at 18577 Euclid Path. Admission to the garage is a donation to the food shelf.

Halloween party

Trinity Care Center will hold a Halloween party at from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31. Kids in costume can decorate a cookie, do the cookie walk and trick-or-treat. The care center is located at 3410 213th St.

Craft, quilt and bake sale

Farmington Lutheran Church will hold its annual craft, quilt and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2. Cinnamon rolls and coffee will be available starting at 9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The church is located at 20600 Akin Road.

Dakota Electric holiday boutique

Dakota Electric Association will hold its 31st annual holiday boutique from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Dakota Electric offices. The boutique will feature hand-crafted items made by Dakota Electric employees and their families. The offices are located at 4300 220th St. W.

Synergy Dance Center Holiday Bazaar

Synergy Dance Center will hold its second annual holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the center, located in the Farmington Mall at the corner of Highway 3 and Highway 50. There will be a number of vendors as well as prizes and deals and door prizes given away every hour. The event is a fundraiser for the Synergy Disney Dancers, who will travel to Disneyland to perform in the ABC-Disney Christmas Day parade.

Try hockey for free

Boys and girls ages 4 to 9 can try hockey for free from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Schmitz-Maki Arena. The event is held in conjunction with USA Hockey as part of the NHL’s Come Play Hockey Month. There will be prizes from USA Hockey and the NHL. There will also be a limited amount of equipment available for use. FHS band brunch and indoor concert

The Farmington High School band program will hold its annual bnd brunch from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 3 in the FHS commons. Proceeds will benefit band students. The Tiger marching band will hold an indoor marching band concert at 2 p.m. Nov. 3.

Patriotic Day

Farmington’s annual Patriotic Day will take place at 5 p.m. Nov. 7 at Farmington High School. The event will include a free pork chop dinner for up to 1,200 people starting at 5 p.m. and a program recognizing veterans of the Vietnam War starting at 7 p.m. For more information visit farmington.k12.mn.us.

Michelle Leonard joined the Woodbury Bulletin staff in November, 2014, after 14 years covering news for the Bulletin's sister publication, the Farmington Rosemount Independent Town Pages.  Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications: News-Editorial from Mankato State University in 1991. She is an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Clifford Larson Unit 189 of Farmington, and is the 2014-15 Third District President to the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota. Michelle is also the volunteer coordinator for the Minnesota Newspaper Museum which is open annually during the Minnesota State Fair. She has earned Minnesota Newspaper Association awards in Investigative Reporting, Local News Coverage, Feature Photography and Column Writing.
