Storytime for all ages

There will be a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 11 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Stories and activities are ideal for mixed- age audiences such as childcare groups and families. The library is located at 508 Third St.



Of Dolls & Murder: A Minnesota Made Documentary

Before forensics, DNA and CSI homicide used dollhouses - a collection of miniature crime scenes - to hone their investigative skills. The library will screen this award-winning documentary by Minneapolis-based filmmaker and author Susan Marks from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 12 The film explores the dioramas and their relationships to modern-day forensics. Omelet breakfast

The Farmington Sons of the American Legion will hold an omelet breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 13 at Tailgaters. All proceeds will benefit the 2013 Farmington Dew Days celebration. Tailgaters is located at 10 Eighth St.

Safe schools dialogue

The Farmington School District will hold a community dialogue on safe schools at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 in the large lecture hall at Farmington High School. The meeting will feature an overview of the steps taken by Farmington schools to ensure a safe environment followed by a discussion with community members. Storytime in the Park

The Dakota County Farmington Library and the Farmington Parks and Recreation Department will offer stories, games and crafts in an indoor parklike setting at Trinity Care Center from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 16. Trinity Care Center is located at 3410 213th St. W.

Guitar Hero

Teens can play Guitar Hero on the big screen at the Dakota County Farmington Library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 17. The library is located at 508 Third St.

There will be a Bingo fundraiser for the Farmington High School 2013 senior class party from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at Celts Pub. Celts is located at 200 Third St.

Wild game dinner

The Dakota County Sportsman's Club will hold its 31st annual wild game dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 19 at Tailgaters Bar and Grill. The Farmington Community Expo will return from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 26 at Farmington High School.
