Your weekend: Farmington Lutheran Church will hold Holy Hoot Saturday
Farmington Liquors will hold a wine tasting event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Rambling River Park Shelter, 17 Elm Street. The event will move to the downtown liquor store in the event of rain.
Farmington singer-guitarist Lowie Rutten will perform light acoustic music from 8 to 10 p.m. Sept. 28 at Dunn Bros. Coffee in Farmington. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.
Farmington Lutheran Church will hold its fourth annual Holy Hoot starting at 11 a.m. Sept. 29. The event will feature a car and motorcycle show, a variety show and a performance by Gloryland Gospel Band. For more information visit farmingtonlutheran.com.
Free skating lessons
The Farmington Youth Hockey Association, the Heritage Figure Skating Club and the City of Farmington will offer a free learn-to-skate session from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 30 at Schmitz-Maki Arena. St. Anne's Circle of St. Michael's Church will hold their second annual garage sale Sept. 26 through Sept. 28. There will be many household and holiday treasures, including very nice kitchen cupboards, for sale. Proceeds will go to a needy family at Christmas.
Wii games at the library
Teens can play Nintendo Wii games on the big screen at the Dakota County Farmington Library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 1. The library is located at 508 Third St.

Storytime for babies
There will be a storytime for babies from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Oct. 4 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Storytime will include stories, songs, bounces and playtime. The event is meant for children newborn to 24 months and their caregivers. The library is located at 508 Third St.
