Scott Matter benefit

There will be a beer bash benefit for Farmington High School graduate Scott Matter from 5 to 7 p.m. March 1 at Farmington Lanes. Matter, a 2007 FHS graduate, was diagnosed at the age of 27 with two brain tumors. After treatment, the tumors remained stagnant for nearly five years, but an MRI in the fall detected growth in the larger of the two. The continued treatment has put a financial burden on Scott and his wife, Chrissy. The couple also has a 1-year-old daughter. The March 1 fundraiser will feature food and drink, raffles and a silent auction. For more information visit scottmatter.com.
