Kids can enjoy fun children's books in movie format from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 23 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The library is located at 508 Third St.

Charity auction

Father Kaesen Knights of Columbus Council No. 5199 will hold its 51st annual charity sale at 7 p.m. Nov. 23 at St. John's Education Center in Vermillion. More than 99 percent of the items for sale are new. There will also be gift certificates for local businesses and restaurants, sporting event tickets and more. Proceeds from the sale will benefit local charities.

Open musician jam

Acoustic musicians can jam with other players from 8 to 10 p.m. Nov. 23 at Dunn Bros. Coffee in Farmington. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.

Myrtle Chapter #13, OES, will hold its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Masonic Temple, 326 Third St.

Blood drive

There will be a Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Church of St. Michael, 22120 Denmark Ave. Blood is in especially short supply now because Hurricane Sandy forced the cancellation of hundreds of blood drives on the East Coast. Peder Eide concert

Farmington resident Peder Eide will bring his Love Has Come Christmas tour to Farmington at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at Christian Life School. For more information about the tour visit www.pedereide.com.

Storytime for all ages

There will be a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 30 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Storytime features stories and activities ideal for mixed-age groups. The library is located at 508 Third St.
