Storytime for all ages
There will be a storytime for all ages from 10:30 to 11 a.m. April 5 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Fundraiser for Jaden Smith
There will be a beer bash and silent auction fundraiser for Jaden Smith from 7 to 10 p.m. April 6 at Celts Pub in Farmington. Jaden is a 16-month-old boy who was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. He received a heart transplant on Oct. 29. The fundraiser will help his family pay for medical bills and living expenses.
The Farmington Knights of Columbus will hold a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon April 7 at the Church of St. Michael, 22120 Denmark Ave. in Farmington. Funds raised at the breakfast will go to a variety of worthy causes.
Teen advisory board
The Dakota County Farmington Library Teen Advisory Board will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. April 8 at the library. TAG recommends books and music, helps plan library programs and participates in community events and service projects. New members are welcome. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Free classes for adults
Free GED preparation, adult basic education or college/work preparation classes for adults begin April 8 at Farmington's Instructional Service Center, 510 Walnut St. Classes are held Monday from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. and Thursdays from 9 to 11:45 a.m. For more information call 651-463-5085.
Teen Library Day
Teens can play games, do crafts, listen to readings and take part in discussion the second Tuesday of every month at the Dakota County Farmington Library. April's Teen Library Day will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. April 9. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Free English as second language classes for adults begin April 9 at Farmington's Instructional Service Center, 510 Walnut St. The class is for all levels of English language learners. Classes are held Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 to 11:45 a.m. For information call 651-463-5085.
