Singer-songwriter Wayne Hamilton will perform original acoustic music from 8 to 10 p.m. Feb. 8 at Dunn Bros. in Farmington. Dunn Bros. is located at 20700 Chippendale Ave.

Salad luncheon

Myrtle Chapter #13 OES will hold its annual salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Masonic Lodge, 326 Third St. There will also be a basket auction, crafts and a bake sale.

Open house

Akin Hills Pet Hospital will have an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 9 to celebrate its 25th anniversary. There will be coffee, cocoa and cookies, door prizes and pet-friendly giveaways. There will also be a silent auction for Last Hope. Farmington police K9 officer Bosco and his handler officer Travis Sundvall will also be there. Akin Hills is located at 18400 Pilot Knob Road.

Omelet breakfast

The Farmington Sons of the American Legion will hold its monthly omelet breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 10 at Tailgaters. Proceeds will go to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 189 and its projects for veterans and the community. Tailgaters is located at 10 Eighth St.

Benefit concert

There will be a benefit concert for the Marie Sandvik Center at 4 p.m. Feb. 10 at Highview Chrstiania Lutheran Church. The Marie Sandvik Center is a Christian-based non-profit organization that provides for the material and spiritual needs of the poor living in the inner city. Jack Frost

Farmington-based Children's Castle Theater will celebrate its 20th anniversary season this weekend with a production of the original play Jack Frost. The play, which features a cast of 130 local children and adults, will be on stage at 2 and 7 p.m. Feb. 8-9 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center.
