Your weekend: Twins' baseball clinic is Saturday
There will be a spaghetti dinner and concert fundraiser at 6 p.m. May 31 for Farmington High School student Erin Canada. The fundraiser will take place at Bogarts in Apple Valley. Canada has been selected to attend New York University's prestigious Tisch Summer Recorded Music Program this summer and is raising money to pay for the trip. The May 31 event will include dinner and a performance by Funktion Junction Motown and soul revue.
Representatives from the Minnesota Twins will be in Farmington from 1 to 4 p.m. June 1 to conduct skills clinics for youth baseball and softball players. Instructors will work on skills with boys and girls ages 6 to 16. The clinic for kids ages 6 to 9 will take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and the clinic for kids ages 10 to 16 will take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. All clinics will take place at Levi Dodge Middle School. The clinics are open to anyone who wants to participate. There is no need to sign up.
There will be a retirement party for longtime St. Michael's Church employees Judy Chown and Sandy Glau at 5:30 p.m. June 1 at the church. The public is welcome. St. Michael's is located at 22120 Denmark Ave.
Mopars in the Park

Teens ages 10 to 16 can play bowling, skiing, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and more on the big screen at the Dakota County Farmington Library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 3.
Evening book group
The Farmington Library evening book group will meet from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. June 3. This month's selection is The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba. New members are welcome.
Afternoon book group
The Farmington Library afternoon book group will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. June 4. This month's book is The Mango Season by Amulya Malladi. New members are welcome.
Relay for Life meeting
There will be a Relay for Life meeting at 6 p.m. June 4 at Farmington Lanes.
